what is the job enviornment like?

I do not have any 'mba' job' experience, so my question is very vague. If you have experience or hear of any story, please let me know.
so lets say someone gets a nice job after getting their mba. when I say 'nice,' I mean something with a respected job title, salary, and an office at a stable company. Lets use the banking sector, either in the management role, coporate role, finance role, etc etc
What is a typical day life in the office? Is it more of, analyzing data, writing a report, submitting it, and maybe meeting and presentation?
How is an employee 'graded' on his or her performance? Is there an internal QA team that nitpicks their work? Is speed an issue, or is it more of a deadline based job?
I work in a call center, and while I Like it, I dont think I have a respected job title or ideal enviornment. since it's a call center, its very high speed, high productive job, but accuracy is just as important.
I've never worked anywhere else besides a call center, so I do not know how other operations work. Can someone shed me some experience?
I do well in this environment, but I would like a change in career and avoid all the call center experience. Is this something that is just part of life and I need to deal with, or are other operations vastly different?
Again, I realize I am being extremely vague, so maybe if you do have a reply, maybe you can tell me what you do, and briefly explain what your day to day job is like.
