What is the lowest positive integer that is divisible by each of the integers 1 through 7 inclusive?

A) 420

B) 840

C) 1260

D) 2520

E) 5040

Please explain how you got the answer. Thanks

I get A: 420.

I used all the rules for divisibility.

Every number in this list is divisible by 1,2,3,4,5,6. That left 7. 420 is divisible by 7 that is the lowest in this list.

The question is asking for the LCM of the numbers on this list. LCM is 420. So, the answer is A.

multiply 1 to 7 and divide the product by the common factors shared by some of the 7 numbers. then you get the LCM.

I took 7*5*3*2 = 105 and then look for the lowest value that was divisible by 105, which is 420. A for me.
