What is the remainder when 9K + 1 is divided by 5?
(1) K = 10
(2) K = 4N + 2

I would say A.

(1) K = 10 So 9K + 1 = 91. So we know remainder when 91 is divided by 5

Since Statement 1 alone is sufficient, we will check option D next (AD-BCE rule)

(2) K = 4N + 2

If N = 1, K = 6, 9K + 1 = 55 , 55/5 Remainder 0
If N = 2, K = 10, 9K + 1 = 91 , 91/5 Remainder 1
If N = 3, K = 14, 9K + 1 = 127 , 127/5 Remainder 2

So Statement 2 is not sufficient.
