What is the remainder when positive integer x is divided by 6 ?

1. When x is divided by 2, the remainder is 1; and when divided by 3, the remainder is 0.
2. when x is divided by 12 the remainder is 3.

Please explain your answer

#1 - The set that satisfies remainder of 1 when x is divided by 2 is:
{1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33...[all odd numbers]}
The red numbers above are the ones that satisfy remainder of 1 when it is divided by 2 and remainder of 0 when divided by 3.

Now, for those numbers in red, what is the remainder when it is divided by 6? The remainder is always 3. So #1 is SUFFICIENT.

#2 - when x is divided by 12, the remainder is 3...the set that satisfies this is below:
{ 3, 15, 27, 39, 51...}
If you divide each of these by 6, what is the remainder? It's always 3. 3/6 = remainder of 3. 15 / 6 = 2 3/6. #2 is SUFFICIENT.
