What is the result of rounding x to nearest hundreth?

(1) When x is rounded to nearest thousandth the result is 0.455
(2) The thousandth digit of x is 5.

Will appreciate any explanations.

What is the result of rounding x to nearest hundreth?
1) When x is rounded to nearest thousandth the result is 0.455
(2) The thousandth digit of x is 5.

FROM ONE

X COULD BE 0.4553 OR 0.4546....INSUFF

FROM TWO

CLEARLY INSUFF

X= 0.455 SO ROUNDING IT WE GET X= 0.46

OR X= 0.465 ROUNDING WE GET 0.47

BOTH

X = 0.455 ROUNDING WE GET X = 0.46
