imagine that they're taken that seriously by potential employers since they don't have any tangible admissions criteria.

I'm not sure I understand your post. The Langone program has specific admissions criteria as you can see on the web site and it is a competitve program. Potential employers would place importance on this program.

BB do recruite the PT people. Granted these guys need to do a lot on their own since they are barred from participating in a lot of the company presentations and need to prepare in a less organized fashion that club events. Still you have guys going to Credit Suisse and Lehman.

The "skinny" is that a lot of PT students think that just a NYU degree will get them a job and don't do the work needed to successfully compete with the full time students who do it almost daily. So the PT students are less prepared and come off as less polished, hence why school now bar PT from doing FT recruiting events. Langonge has a Professional Development program where the PT can fulfill this "fear" and get into the events and then compete with the 2nd years who didn't get full time offers.

Anyway, I digress. Langone placed students in Credit Suisse and Lehman last year.
