1) The average of the integers is 100
2) The 79th term in the series is 134

answer D.

Let X be the initial number
Average of 89 consecutive numbers is 100

A)
Sum of 100 consecutive numbers starting at X =
100X + 89 * 90 / 2 = 100X + 89 * 45 = Average * 100
so 100X + 89*45 = 100 * 100
We can find X here. Once X is known the 10th term = X+10

B)
79X + 79*80/2 = 134
So we can find X here
