We don't know the values of a or b.

(2) Insufficient

(1) and (2) Sufficient
ab = 6
a^3 * b^2 = 36
a^2 * b^2 * a = 36
(ab)^2 * a = 36
6^2 * a = 36
a = 1
b = 6

a = 1
b = 6

Stmt 1 : b could be 6 or -6, also shows a is positive (thus eliminating -1)
- INSF

Stmt 2 : a or b could both be postiive or negative
-INSF

Togehter - SUF - =1/246
