(1) (a^-3)(b^-2) = 36^-1
(2) (a)(b^-1) = 6^-1

I can't convince myself why the OA is the answer. Please provide reasoning.

C is the only possible answer

1) 1/(a^3x b^2) =1/36 it is insufficient to compute the answer i.e. 1/(a^2 x b^3) ------>Insufficient
2) a/b = 1/6 is insufficient to determine the answer

combined 1 & 2 (1/(a^3 x b^2)) x (a/b) = 1/(a^2 x b^3) = (1/36) x (1/6)=1/216

combine both the statement and you will get ans as option C
