From stmt1:
(a^2)*b/c = (a^2)*1/ac = a/c

From stmt2: a/c = 4

from 2) we can find out the equation... reduces to (4b)^2b /b which does not give any value..insufficient
from 1) we get . b^(-2b-1) ..not sufficent..
From 1&2 , we have,
4b ^ 2b /b = b^(-2b -1)
Although, it is equation in one variable..but it does not give any solution.
IMO E, OA and official explanation please...

I am sorry, that i got the question wrong..
from statement 2) we have, the equation reduced to a^2
from statement 1) The equation reduced to a^2
Hence both are not sufficient individually.
combining the two also wont give any answer.
So answer is E.

OA is C.
With statement 1, a^2b/c = a^2
With statement 2, a^2b/c = a^2.
From statement 1, we have c=1/a. From statement 2, we have a=4c <=> a=4*1/a <=> a^2=4. (A)
Also, from statement 2, when b=c, we cancel b and c from the question, so the question becomes "what is the value of a^2?". We can conclude from (A) that a^2 = 4.
