x = 2, y =6
x = 4, y = 4

1+2)
x*y = 12
x + y= 8
xy+y^2 = 8y
y^2-8y+12 = 0
(y-2)*(y-6) = 0

Good Question, at first glance any one can go with combination of 2 and 6. since x>y or x<y not defined . it goes for straight E
