A. yields 4 answers. 2x6, 3x4, 4x3, 6x2 so Insuficient.

B. yields 2 answers 2+6, 6+2 so Insufficient.

Together also they are insufficient. so E is the answer.

x = 4, y =3
x = 3, y =4
NS

2)
x = 2, y =6
x = 4, y = 4
NS

1+2)
x*y = 12
x + y= 8
xy+y^2 = 8y
y^2-8y+12 = 0
(y-2)*(y-6) = 0

NS

Good Question, at first glance any one can go with combination of 2 and 6. since x>y or x<y not defined . it goes for straight E
