Question Stats:

81% (01:10) correct 18% (00:20) wrong based on 2 sessions
What is the value of x?

(1) x < 3
(2) x > 1

ps: i dont know what is the difficulty level for this problem, hence i have selected sub-600 level option for this problem.

i got the answer as C, but the OA is u know....can somebody explain me why the OA is what it is

ya man from the combined effect u can border or set the upper limit and lower value of the x-------1<x<3. as x can be either an integer or a fraction,as there is no indication about the property of x. so if x is an integer the value of x is 2 but if x is not an integer x can be 2.5 or 1.6 etc-------got it?

The right answer is E

Statement 1 - insufficient
Statement 2 - insufficient
1 & 2 together: we know that x is between 1 and 3 1<x<3, but since x does not have to be an integer we cannot find the exact value of x.
