What is the value of x?

i think the no is 7 & answer is C but OA is diff.


i think you are assuming X has to be an INTEGER which from the question it doesnt have to be.

So 50/8 = ~6.3 and 60/8 =~7.5
Now when you double any of them they should be between 10 and 15... which basically mean the entire range.

so answer is E?

6.25<x<7.5

x could be anything , even if we take A+B.

same mistake. assumed X to be integer. Is there any sure shot way to avoid these kind of mistakes?

Not making any assumption regarding x is the key to solve this question
x can be anything ( integer , fraction ) as it not explicitly stated that x is integer
Statement 1 doesn't help in finding value of x so insufficient
Statement 2 doesn't help in finding value of x so insufficient
combining both statements we don't get any new information about x
correct answer - E
