What kind of candidate am I? [#permalink] New post 27 Aug 2006, 06:54
Hi, I am pretty confused about what kind of candidate I am, and would really appreciate the evaluation.

26 Indian Female

University of Michigan BBA 2.94 GPA

Involved in many activities in college

1 yr in leadership development program at top retailer

6 months at international development org in India

1 year as HR consultant in fast growing company in DC

1500 SAT - haven't taken the GMAT yet

getting involved in minority college prep program, Indian women's leadership conference and non profit consulting

I'm really not sure about what kind of candidate I am and also if I should wait a year and what sort of GMAT score I would need to get into a top 10 or top 15 school.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It would serve you well to wait another year and get some more work experience under your belt -- especially since you've jumped around some. It also depends quite a bit on how well honed your career goals are.

The GMAT will play a major role -- especially since you have a sub-par GPA.
