Hi i am a Bachelor of Computer Applications graduate..i am planning for MBA in 2013..i am going to get work experience from May 2012 to August 2013..i know its less but my question is what kind of work experience i should get?

do i need to get a job in an MNC? Do i need to get into a export company? Do i need to get i job in a bank?
Do i need to work in a field related to my graduate degree or can i do any kind of work?

I know this is in the ask admissions consultants area..and I'm not one of them, but people get into MBA programs from all sorts of backgrounds. There is no 1 correct field.

Sure Management Consulting or IBankers may get more in than the average group, but those are tough jobs to get, and puts you in a competitive group when applying to MBA programs.

Do whatever you love, and do well at it. They want successful leaders, not people from background X.

nope and nope

Do i need to work in a field related to my graduate degree or can i do any kind of work?
whatever you like

i have a family business..can i work in my business and will it be considered as work experience?
yes. it's especially helpful though if it's big and/or successful

What should i do?
whatever you like. :) After all the ultimate goal is not to get an MBA, but rather it's the MBA which facilitates your goals. And if it doesn't, well...

Our friend above, despite not being an "expert" :).. is totally right.
