If you're an "Indian IT" applicant, that doesn't mean that schools evaluate you differently. It means that they're more likley to evaluate you vs. other Indian IT applicants, of which there are many (i.e., it's more competitiive).
Don't get too hung up on the definition. Your goal is to stand out vs. the pack. The more applicants out there who are similar to you in some way (whether it's in terms of your career, your ethnicity, or your career goals), the harder you need to work to stand out. There are lots of IT professionals from that part of the world who are applying to b-school these days, so focus on the things that will make you stand out.
