what's higher, [-2] or [-5] + [4] ?
do the absolute values of -5 and 4 add up to absolute value of -9 or -1?

By definition: [-5] = 5, [4] = 4. Then [-5] + [4] = 9 > [-2] = 2.

Absolute values are positive numbers, their sum should be always non-negative.
