What schools should I apply for [#permalink] New post 03 Feb 2011, 10:56
Hi,

I secured a GMAT score of 700 (Q49, V35). I am an engineering graduate and have 6 years of Work experience. I worked as Sales Executive at HCL and System Consultant at Dell. At present I am working as a Technical consultant in HP.
I participated in National Social service activities while I was graduationg.
I am actually looking at a 1year MBA programs because of my Financial limitations.

What schools can I safely apply for.

Alex, jumping in here first since I saw this post (don't mean to hijack).

Hi there nealdcurz, before anyone can help you, you need to explain a bit more about yourself. What was your undergrad grade? Where did you go to school? What do you want to do post-MBA? Is there a geographical preference as to where you end up working?

Feel free to browse through some of the other people's threads and look at the level of detail that folks are providing. With what you have mentioned, it's be trying to pick out a needle from the haystack...well, maybe not that bad since you've mentioned just a 1-year MBA Program (not a whole lot if you're looking at some of the top programs in the states and Europe). Either way, it'll require additional input from yourself.

Ok....As backfed rightly suggested, here is my complete profile.
I completed my graduation in Engineering from a reputed university in India - Year 2004.
I secured a percentage of 73. I do not know what would be the GPA, and I was among the top 10 students in the class. I also participated in NSS (National social Service for these 4 years).
During my 6 years experience, I received promotions and awards almost every year.
I am not looking at a 2 Years MBA program because of my Financial constraints.
After my MBA, I want to see myself as a business consultant in top consulting firms such as Boston Consulting and work in USA, Europe or Singapore.
For my MBA, i am looking at colleges in Europe, Singapore, USA and India that are least expensive and that provide some financial aid.
Hope this helps.
