What schools should I be looking at? Marine Officer/Engineer [#permalink]
31 Jan 2012, 20:31
Here are my stats:
- Officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, 4 years, executive experience at the company (140 Marines) level - Network Consulting Engineer at Cisco Systems, 3 years, working with Fortune 500 clients - Strong international experience - residence in UK, France, Mexico, Japan - 740 GMAT/ 2.3 GPA (There were extenuating circumstances), from UNC Chapel Hill - Multiple high level network engineering certifications - Graduate level coursework (15 hours) in computer network engineering/telecommunications with 3.6 GPA, plan on completing a MS in Telecommunications with around a 3.6 final GPA - Founded a couple non-profits that were fairly successful in the microfinance and computer networking fields respectively
I'm looking at some of the 1-year programs in Europe - Cambridge, Oxford, INSEAD - but I don't know if my undergrad GPA will straight rule me out or if I've done enough to compensate? I've also looked at Thunderbird since it has an interesting international program.

While undergrad GPA might raise some concerns, a lot will depend on the extenuating circumstances that you plan to put in your application.
Other than that, there is nothing in your profile that suggest why you can not target the schools you mentioned.
