To answer the question we should know: (i) The number of tickets sold at a regular price; (ii) The number of tickets sold at a reduced price; (iii) The price of a regular ticket; (iiii) The price of a reduced ticket. (1) x = 50. Not sufficient. (2) Full-price tickets sold for$20 each. We know (iii) only. Not sufficient.

(1)+(2) We only know (iii) and (iiii). Not sufficient.

(1) x = 50
(2) Full-price tickets sold for $20 each. We are given A*(x/100 *y) + B*y = TR, and A + B = 400... Where A, B are the two types of tickets (full vs non-full price), and x is the percent of the full price (y). 1) Only solves for x, we still don't know A, B or y and thus we cannot solve for TR. Insufficient 2) Gives us y, but we don't know the value of x, A or B.. Insufficient 1 + 2: We've solved for the prices, but we don't know how many tickets have been sold for the reduced price.. 399 of the 400 could've been sold for half the price and then we would get a different TR than if 399 were sold at full price.. Bunuel, I think to answer the question we need to know only either of (i) and (ii) and not both. Thanks!
