Whats the formula to find out the sum of all numbers between 1 and n?

Smallest =1
Largest =n

First you find their average which is =(smallest+largest )/2
=(n+1)/2
Then u find the nbr of consecutive nbrs =largest-smallest +1
=n-1+1=n

Their sum =avg*nbr
=(n+1)n/2
