Whats the next step after Audit (CPA) with MBA??? [#permalink]

I am currently preparation admissions for MBA starting in 2013 and would really appreciate to have some idea on the opportunities I could have if I did an MBA in Finance/Strategy. Basically I did a bachelor in Business, Graduate in Accounting and 3 years at a Big 4 firm in audit. Now I am in a fast growing tech startup company where I am mainly in charge of international financial operations and reporting so I had a few interesting projects like an acquisition in Sweden, setting up a company in Ireland and transfer pricing for the group.

It seems to make a lot of sense that I focus on getting something into management consulting with this background but I really would like to give it a shot to become an associate in IB. What are your thoughts? Maybe I should try writing CFA exams ? I am not sure audit is very attractive to them

I actually think audit puts you in a better place for associate IB roles after MBA rather than MC. You have a lot more tranferrable skills. Accounting, financial statement analysis etc.

I'm also feeling that MC is now the most desired job so it may be easier to pick up an IB role (assuming associate recruiting has not decreased more than demand).
