When a certain tree was planted, it was 4 feet tall. The height increased by the same amount each year for 6 years. At the end of the 6th year, the tree was 1/5 taller than the end of the 4th year. How many feet did the tree increase each year?

4+6x = (4+4x)(6/5)
solving we get x=2/3

let x be the increase.
so after four years tree was 4 + 4x feet tall.
so after six years 4(1+x)/5 + 4(1+x) = 4 + 6x
so x = 2/3
