My answer is option B

Amount is uncountable : So exclude C,D,E
Between A and B
Less in option A is uncountable
But fewer and many in option B are countable.
So I prefer B although it does nt sound perfect

Yes B-fewer is the clue as "drive-ins" is countable.

few birds, few houses

less emotion, less action

"as many" is the correct idiom.

Moreover, "amount" (C, D ,E) cannot be used for "number" of hotels.

C IMO. A, D,E are out because they use 'less'. As for B and C, B sounds incomplete. So I chose C, but not sure about 'amount'
