when is the best time to decline admission offer? [#permalink]

Hey -
I wanted to know when is the best time to decline admission from school (s) you do not plan on attending. I have not accepted the offer from my school of choice (will be soon) but i kind of feel bad for other schools who are reaching out to me. Also, earlier I decline my offer sooner WL guys could hear back on their status..
wanted to know what others are doing?

If you have no intention of either attending the school or using its scholarship offer for negotiations at your school of choice, I see no reason to hold the offer for any period of time. Open that seat up for an anxious WL'er

I would say as soon as you know of your decision, it would be the considerate thing to do for those on the waitlist.
