When it rains, my car gets wet. Since it hasn't rained recently, my car can't be wet.
Which of the following is logically most similar to the argument above?
a)Whenever critics give a play a favourable review, people go to see it; Pinter's new play did not receive favourable reviews, so I doubt that anyone will go to see it.
b)Whenever people go to see a play, critics give it a favourable review; people did go to see Pinter's new play, so it did get a favourable review.
c)Whenever critics give a play a favourable review, people go to see it; Pinter's new play got favourable reviews, so people will probably go to see it.
d)Whenever a play is given favourable reviews by the critics, people go to see it; since people are going to see Pinter's new play, it will probably get favourable reviews.

Rain = R
Wet = W

NR = NW
in A

In B, according to my reasoning:
R = go see play
W = favorable review
R = W
R = W
Reasoning should be NR = NW

I would go with (B)
Because asper author if rain = Yes then car = wet, if no rain then for sure car is not wet. Author is sure of the results (Not probable or may)
So in this regard, (B) and (E) are the options which left to select!
And among (B) and (E), (B) is closer to author's flow.

Paul, Anandk...............I kinda agree with "mba" explanation..........Dont u think there is an element of finality, when author says that the car CANNOT be wet.........Choice A introduces an elemnt of "doubt"......wotsay folks??

I'll go with A,
in response to MBA, I think just because the author shows complete faith in something (as oppose to probable), it does not render that a correct selection.
I agree with Paul's explanation regarding logical reasoning
