Anyway .. sorry .. I went overboard with this. I have great respect for nervous. And we don't know others enough to judge their decisions anyway. Let's get back to the topic.

Prasad, you already have an interview with Cornell and you are waiting for a result from Ross. I am sure one of them will be your first admit. Have you heard from any other school yet?

Nope.
My other R1 schools are HBS and MIT. I really did not expect anything from HBS because I dont think I have a super-human profile and my essays were not that polished at that time(It was my 1st app).
However, I expected to be interviewed by MIT. MIT is by far my best app. But, I guess the competition is so intense that I havent received an invite yet. At this point, I will be happy to get WLed at MIT.
As much as I like Haas PT, I really dont want to be in a position where I have to apply there. I realized during the last few weeks that balancing kid, wife, work, other XC and B-school for 3 long years, will be impossible.
So, I am now fervently praying for an admit from somewhere, anywhere!

Yeah .. the feedback that I got from some Haas PT students was (One of them said it in an official info session, actually) that if you are working and have a family, you pretty much just attend the classes and go home. I think only if one makes a plan like you (Don't work or work very limited hours. Live close to the school and get involved in as many activities as possible), then the PT program can be a true alternative. Easier said than done, of course.

COMPLETELY done as of Monday... Free at last... Congrats NC and dosa for being done too! It's a good feeling. I'm already planning dinners with friends, poker nights (won our end of the year tournament ), movies, and some driving class.. PT MBA is tough. I had a roommate who was single at the time and doing his PT at Santa Clara, and he was doing homework pretty much every day and schmoozing on weekends at events. Didn't have time for anything else. With wife and kids, I don't think PT is going to be easy. Now I just wait... there are already some conflicts coming up with UCLA Anderson Days and some work trip, potential vacation plans with Kellogg (if I get in), etc... grr... and there's financial aid to look at, which I'm clueless right now. This never ends, eh?

Done. In for R2 for Haas, Wharton, Columbia and Stanford. Let the agonizing wait begin... I don't know what to do with all this free time I suddenly have! Haven't read a book since I started studying for the d**n GMAT. Have a brand new computer game that hasn't even made it out of the package. I call my friends and family - they say, "uphill? uphill WHO? We USED to know an uphill. Haven't heard from her in MONTHS..." I am going to go out tonight and listen to a live band while getting slowly tanked on good red wine...

Oh, I can't afford it either - I just figured I'd get a head start on what it felt like to carry a bunch of overwhelming debt, so I slapped it on my credit card...

At Jan 11th, 1:49 AM EST, i am finally done with all my applications for this year.
At this moment, i feel like i have lost the purpose of my life.. neither happy nor sad, just a great deal of emptiness.
For now, i couldn't care less what happens next.
