I hope JP didn't leave us, we need his free brain.

I answered an GMAT Example today and this sounds weird.

Apparently depedent clauses can go inside relative clauses ?

This supposedly is right, but why?

1) James is worried about something although he is usually happy.

Sounds better in my opinion, but is this a dependent clause?
James is worried about something even though he is usually happy. Does even though start a dependent clause? I am a native speaker and I find this really weird.

From what I understand, "although" and "even though" are interchangable...

I would put a comma right before the dependent clause, though [before "although"], otherwise it sounds a bit like a run-on sentence.
