where should I apply? [#permalink]
08 Jul 2012, 17:05
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some school application recommendations-here is my profile:
Undergrad: top 20-25 USNW University, 3.8+GPA,
History Major+Business minor (have taken calculus i,ii, statistics, financial acctg, corporate financial mgmt)
GMAT: averaging around 700 on practice tests
Career Experience: I am intending to get started in commercial real estate at a brokerage like CBRE or Cushman. I will be a senior this year and really like real estate. The purpose in getting an MBA would be to transition to buy side real estate after 3-5 years.
The reason that I have made this post is because I can't get a sense of how my career experience will affect my application. I recognize that working in RE capital markets is not exactly the "sexy" background (i.e. consulting, IBanking, Private Equity, etc.) Wharton or Tuck might be looking for. As such, I was just wondering what some good alternatives would be, and would appreciate any recommendations.
