my dream is to study in a top20 US school or a top 10 european school...such as Duke, IESE etc. i have 4 yrs w/x with a normal profile...nothing stellar. i am not finding time to retake GMAT and am getting late for the MBA. can i have a good chance at any of the good schools?
or shud i just chuck the idea of MBA coz i cant raise my GMAT score? _________________
Sure u can. Depends on your overall application. I have a friend who got into LBS this year with full scholarship (had 650 in GMAT). See if you can retake and get a higher score. Even otherwise, you shud try!
a very nice piece of information. but as i told u i have nothing stellar in my resume except for a few things like big names Siemens,TCS, international w/x for 1.5 yrs, know german...am from a top engg school in india etc....but all thsese things are very common i guess...
my weak points are no extras and no community service which i will just make up and do as much as i can in next couple of months.... _________________
good finance coursework, good placement, chances of guaranteed loans or aid.(top 20 US, top 10 Europe)
but the problem is that i feel i am too average and i am just confirming the same from you all so that i save myself the effort of applying and then facing rejection. _________________
640 is a very acceptable school for Part time MBA. You could get into good schools like Grainger (Madison) and even GSB Chicago on a part time basis. My colleague got 660 and joined GSB Chicago part time. Part time standards are lower. Ofcourse, you miss out on the interactions and experiences of a full time.
