Where to Finish my degree [#permalink] New post 16 Dec 2011, 02:58
Hi
I currently go to school in Canada at a small public college which allows me to get my BBA in accounting their, but would really like to get a Masters in accountancy in the states since we only have a few schools that offer the MSC. My Goal is to work in a public accounting firm either in tax or auditing. Would it be better to transfer to a school and finish my undergrad at a medium sized university if I could? I will be finished my 3rd year this April. I am very involved at my school have a 3.0 and writing the gmat soon thinking around 650.

Do not need to go to the best school possible but would like to have chance at working for a big 4 firm or midsize firm. Does being 20 help?

Any thoughts?

I wish I had a better answer for you, but I am actually very unsure about your particular situation. Not because it is complicated, but I am not an expert in accounting, or that degree. I would definitely recommend that you go to your schools advising office, and speak with a professional, or potentially talk with one of your accounting professors. Or better yet, do you know anyone with the degree, or trying to get the degree, you are looking for? Experts in that field could have some really great advice for you. If anyone else here has some ideas, chime in!

Good luck!
