Well Jon ,
Let me answer.
What are your reasons?
Well I have worked for few years in Corporate and Now I am going to join my Dad for Business - he getting old too , so I need to help him .
So I need to get back to Business ASAP , not delaying a year again . So Maybe at max, I might work after post graduation in Corporate for a year - just for experience .
Because if you apply with a 570, I'm sure you will find some programs that you can get into. But they won't be good ones.
Can u elaborate on Good ones . I mean they wont good --- what do u mean by that . In what terms. Is it totally BAD ---or not useful at all . Please elaborate .
So is it worth it?
I really don't know about that .
Would it be better to wait?
I don't have that option of waiting for another year . I need to start by Fall 2015 or at least by Spring intake 2016 -Jan or Feb .
How much of a higher score can you get?
Well I can easily get 630-650 ...I just missed it again in my second attempt .
But I will be working hard to achieve a 700 + within 2 month .
Regards.
hans
Dear Hans,
Well, if you are going to a Bschool SOLELY for the learning, a lower ranked Bschool might suffice for you. If however you want to get the networking, the career options, the prestige that comes from having a top diploma, then you gotta apply with the BEST possible GMAT you can get. I don't mean that you HAVE TO have a 770, but you should at least be applying with a score that you feel is about as high as you can get yourself.
Since you feel you have to move quick, I'd say January intakes (like HEC, INSEAD.. of which there are many in Europe) should still be an option for you, but have a close look at the deadlines...
If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me,
Best,
Jon
