which is a good course for gmat prep? [#permalink] New post 31 Mar 2008, 11:18
Does anyone have any idea about good gmat courses available. I am trying to get feedback on Kaplan vs veritas vs manhattan gmat. They all cost around $1400 i guess. Also let me know if you are aware of any other better options. And also if one should opt for in class or online course. It will be great if someone who has taken these courses can help me.

I gave gmat in nov-07 and scored 580, I scored bad in verbal. My target is at least 700 therefore i am looking for a good course.

I will say Manhattan is the best and then followed by Kaplan and finally Veritas. However this is my felling, which can be quite different from others.
Manhattan questions match the real GMAT question or little bit tougher than the actual GMAT questions. Kaplan questions quite often go off track while they try to make questions harder.
Veritas does offer more number of hours and cheaper as compared to either Manhattan or Kaplan.
So if you need more time then may be join Veritas, if you need more tough questions go for Kaplan. If you are somewhere in between need a decent fundamentals brush up as well as better feel of GMAT then Manhattan is the way.
