Which is worse? [#permalink] New post 08 Dec 2006, 18:21
Hi, I'm having a timing issue with the quantitative part of the GMAT and need some advice. What is a great way to build speed and accuracy in answering quant questions? Also, is it more detrimental to the quant score to leave questions unanswered OR to answer/guess and get them wrong on the test? I think I get so worked up looking at the clock while I go through practice CATS and can't seem to focus completely on the quant (verbal's fine). Thanks for the feedback!

practice practice practice under timed conditions.... thats the best way to learn the concepts well enough to answer quickly...

It is much better to guess incorrectly then to leave questions unanswered... there is a penalty for unanswered questions, beyond just getting them wrong of course...

and you can click on the timer to hide it if its that distracting...

but in any case, you just need to practice under timed conditions until you are a mathamatical speedy gonzalez
