a.x^4 is greater or equal to 1
b.x ^3 is less or equal to 27
c.x ^2 is greater or equal to 16
d.2 is less or equal to |x| is less or equal to 5
e.2 is less or equal to 3x + 4 is less or equal to 6

a.x^4 is greater or equal to 1 : Range is x > + 1 Not a segment as open ended range

b.x ^3 is less or equal to 27 : Range is x < 3; Open ended
c.x ^2 is greater or equal to 16 : Range is x x > + 4
d.2 is less or equal to |x| is less or equal to 5 Again open ended if you solve for x...
e.2 is less or equal to 3x + 4 is less or equal to 6
