The best way would be to put the value and arrive at the conclusion
logically.. for positive value greater than 1..it will eb always true.
for negative value.. less than -1 it will be always false.. for 1& -1 it will b e false
and for 1/2 it will be false..

euation simplifies to $$X^8>1$$.
Look at the choices, X<>(1,-1) or any fraction.
Hence x=-2.
