oa is : select text
oa is "b" x > -1 , but x=1 fails the inequality.
not sure how it is b

\(x/|x|\) \(< X\) can be negative or positive based on the value of X.

if X is positive, for example

2/2 <2 -- CORRECT for any value of X > 1 (Dont be carried away with this answer, this is GMAT be alert, most of GMAT questions will not be this easy, there will be a trick hidden inside :-) )

Also, if X is negative, for example,

-.2/.2 <-.2 , but it cannot be -2/2 < -2 so CORRECT for any value of X > -1

here combining both X should be X>-1

if x > -1 then what about X = 1

it is 1/1 < 1 which is false...

not sure if i missing something in this.
