Which one should I go, Texas A & M or Georgia State Univ. [#permalink] New post 06 Jun 2013, 16:25
Good Evening,

I am facing a tough choice. I have applied for a few business schools and was accepted by 3 so far. A few others are stilling going. However, I think I might just choose from the 3 that have accepted me, in particular Texas A & M full time program and Georgia State University Global Partners program.

Texas A & M got good ranking, 18 months and the tuition fee is half of Georgia State University. However, Georgia State University's Global Partners Program is quite unique.

Is anyone familiar with these two schools have some suggestions which one I should attend?

I need to make a decision quick as I have to put down a deposit for them shortly.

Much appreciated!

I'll be honest I don't know that much about either program. But looking into the rankings and data on US News I'd definitely say Mays is the way to go. That program at Georgia State sounds interesting but at the same time if it doesn't get you a job in the end whats the point? The fact that they don't even publish employment data is very questionable. Meanwhile Mays placement and salaries are very solid and the overall brand is much stronger.

Texas A&M:
ranked 35
Ave starting salary: 93,500
Employed 3 months after graduation: 93%

Georgia State:
unranked
no published data on salary or employment

Based on that I'd say TAMU for sure, but when you factor in that TAMU is half the cost it's a no brainer in my opinion.
