Help! Which one would you choose? [#permalink] New post 30 May 2014, 03:09
Hi Linda,

I got Full-tuition scholarship from Olin(Washu) but got no scholarship from Ross.

Profile:
International Candidate
Pre-MBA: Operations 5 years GMAT:700
Post-MBA Goal: Finance / Consulting

Do you think that there is a huge prestige difference between them to justify $110K?

Thanks...

Hello,

Congratulations on your acceptances and on the scholarship!

The question is, prestige in whose eyes? For some prospective employers, the brand will make a difference, but not for others. Try to be as practical in making the decision – what concrete benefits will accrue from Ross that would make it worth giving up the scholarship? Look at recruiters in your areas of interest, and perhaps talk to alums in your target fields from both programs if possible, to get a sense of the real opportunities each program provides. Compare recruiting stats in finance and consulting for both programs.
