which program? [#permalink] New post 16 Oct 2011, 11:24
Hello,
I am confused whether I should apply to a 1 year or the traditional 2 year program. I have around 3 years of entrepreneurial experience, and would be returning to my business. What's the difference between the 2 programs?
Also, Should I pursue the general MBA or an international MBA or a dual degree?
Thanks!!!

Hi anirudh316,

Are you looking to attend school in Europe or in the US? European MBA programs are typically 1 year long, whereas business schools in the US are normally 2 years.

2 year MBA programs provide a summer internship, which is a great opportunity to learn about a new industry. It is important to identify what you are looking for in a program (transition into a new career, networking opportunities, etc.), as this will allow you to choose the right program for you.

Best,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team

I will be applying solely to US schools. I have heard that there are some 1 year programs in US such as cornell, BU etc. Apart from cost and time, are 1 year schools less valuable? Are 2 year programs better for changing industries or career?
