which program? [#permalink] New post 16 Oct 2011, 11:25
Hello,
I am confused whether I should apply to a 1 year or the traditional 2 year program. I have around 3 years of entrepreneurial experience, and would be returning to my business. What's the difference between the 2 programs?
Also, Should I pursue the general MBA or an international MBA or a dual degree?
Thanks!!!

Hello anirudh316, thanks for your question.

The biggest difference between one and two year programs is the summer internship. If you feel that working at a different entity (other than your business) would be beneficial, then perhaps a two year program? Or, do you feel the need to get back to your business in as short a time as possible?

In terms of which specific major to select, it comes down to why business school. What are specific gaps (e.g., knowledge, skills, experiences, network) that you need to bridge to better benefit your business? Choose the major, degree, institution that best address those gaps.

Best of luck!
Brian

thanks!
So I should definitely have gone for the 2 year program if I had been considering a career change and maybe a 1 year would suffice if I am returning to my business immediately?

Yes, that is the general idea.

Best,
