It just might serve you better to retake the GMAT this year and then apply. My reasons for saying so are:
1. You have the disdvantage of a low GMAT score in a highly competitive applicant pool - the highly feared male, IT, Indian. Okay, cliched statements apart, the GMAT score is still low!
2. The b-schools on your list have a higer average GMAT score than yours, so your application will begin with a disadvantage there.
3. With 6.5 years of work experience behind you, you are not getting any younger next year. Besides writing applications is physically and emotionally draining, and you have a big list to work with. So you might as well do it right the first time around and save yourself the trouble for next year.
All this might change if you have an absolutely wow profile and the low GMAT looks like a mere glitch. You have not mentioned anything about your personal, professional or academic accomplishments, so it will be hard to judge that.
