Which US B-schools are top for management consulting?

Which US B-schools are top for management consulting? [#permalink]

I have seen this thread somewhere earlier, but was a bit dated. So I thought I will re-open this question and hear your thoughts.

Which US B-schools (out of the top 25) are renowned for management consulting career? The top 3 - HBS, Wharton, Stanford are obvious here. I know that MC firms recruit from all over the top 10 or may be top 20 too, but I wanted to get some perspectives on which schools have a clear/ strong edge in this area.

go here and look at what schools are placing people at those companies:

In general what your looking for is subjective, for percentage placed in MC outside of the top 3 I'd say Tuck, Kellogg, Ross, and UVA are pretty up there......anyone else? Booth is of course amazing at MC but its clearly has more placements in finance

^^^ If you're even more serious do all the research yourself and save the money, that guide is great but nothing you can find with some research. Now if you short on time.....then go for it.

I don't know what you mean by strong in MC. If you are looking at the nr or % of hires of, that is misleading because these numbers just reflect how many people were good enough to get an offer, not whether you'll get an offer. Looking at the % of hires and concluding that you personally have a higher chance at that school is a fallacy. Just look at the schools where the top companies recruit on campus - pretty much the top 15.
