Why isn't A the right answer.

Simply because A is ackward abd redundant

A pilots should avoid using these because

B their use should be avoided by pilots - passive

C pilots should avoid using it because - same as a

D they should not be used by pilots because of the coating - ackward and coat should be used better as subject

E they should not be used by pilots because the coating on these glasses makes it almost impossible to read the digital instruments inside the aircraft

Plus others stuff but this is sufficient to lead you to the correct answer ;)

Why isn't A the right answer.


A is incorrect because of the usage of "these".
B is incorrect because of the reference issue of "it". Also "their coating make it" should be "their coating makes ....."
C is incorrect because of "it".
ABC are incorrect for one more issue.
The sentence starts with an introduction of a contast. A construction such as "while A happens, B ...." but in ABC its avoided.
D is incorrect because of its awkward question.
