Kryzak...dont think we both have common schools except for K
So you can relax till R2 but by then I would have gotten my result.
Again- I dont think I am good enough to be your competition

My friend Kryzak, all I have for Stanford is love and fresh air. So you can feel rest assured abt the "perceived" competition from my side

oh c'mon people, you're all too modest! (I hope you're not like this on your essays! )
I know your profiles, and each and every one of you are worthy and will most likely get in! I just hope we're all different enough that they'll accept ALL of us to the same schools, then we'll have a great big party during admit weekend!

Well, we are competing only for Stan. Otherwise our schools are different. So you wish me luck for Wharton and I will wish you luck for Haas. For Stan, let's keep our wishes for ourselves.

Yup, we're pretty head to head. UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford. You picked the other Chicago UE than I did though at least. I don't think you have to worry about me too much, though, you've got clearly superior EC stuff.
Seeing Berkeley's approximately 7% admissions rate on the most recent class profile is kind of scary.

7% at Berkeley? And here I thought I was picking a school with a higher admit rate than Stanford...

Where did you find a 7% admit rate for Berkeley?
Sidenote: 49ers made my day today. Not impressive performance, but what a finish. I don't feel bad about not working on the applications today.

well, it's actually 14% (which isn't that much higher) because Berkeley's yield is roughly 50%.

Why do you guys think it was a fumble? Battle had control of the ball before losing it.
Anyway, back to the topic. I would like to know the selectivity of Berkeley PT. I am sure in PT programs, Berkeley's selectivity must be the highest (or among the highest).
EDIT: Nevermind. I found this: Applications received: 744; Enrolled students: 244
So, assuming a 70% Yield, selectivity: ~50%. Not too difficult.

I was under the impression that the yield is much higher. 70% yield seems too lowan assumption. From the info session, I got the impression that yield is closer to 80-85 and selectivity around 35-40%

I had a couple friends go to the Haas PT infosessions... is it true that it's mostly Indians/IT there? My roommate was telling me how he and his friend were the only two non Indian people in the room.

No, I dont think thats the case. The class is pretty diverse. Your friends probably picked a day when more Indians turned up. I attended the 1st PT info session on June 20th. Out of the 50 odd folks there, only 6 were Indian.

that's interesting. He went to the one in Palo Alto, I think last year around this time. That may be why because it's in the Silicon Valley?
