Its very interesting to see the counts. Except H and S, the rest of the schools seem to be following the rankings (by and large).

I think this count also goes to show that Chicago is going to be really competitive this year based on their BW ranking (it is as such a very desi-friendly school).

Another interesting thing that i have found in my "forum"/blog browsing browsing- Chicago GSB applicants and admits tend to be the most "active" in cyberspace. I dont have any numbers to back up my claim but you can just see them. Even last year, I think most gmatclubbers got admitted into gsb (among the UE's).

Excellent, a post to allow me to see who I need to take out... er, I mean befriend to get into the school of my dreams. ;)

you East Coast people are right, West Coast people like me would need a VERY GOOD reason to apply to schools like Harvard, Wharton, or Columbia when there are GREAT schools on the West Coast (WC Baby! Woot! :P) to go to. ;)

I am VERY glad that no one has put Stanford up yet, and the only Haas FT is R2. Whew!

R1 (for sure) - Stanford, Haas, UCLA, *maybe* Chicago/Kellogg (only one of them, not both)
R2 (hopefully won't need to at all) - Chicago/Kellogg, maybe NYU

Kellogg is leading Chicago right now based on competitiveness, culture, and other reasons. It can shift again, so just pay attention to my profile ;)

Next week.

My Essays are 96.37% ready. Elaborating on my CV and writing the fifth essay at the moment. Columbia asks for a LOT of information (even work search and travel breaks).

Princeton (Mfin) is a brilliant option (For those sure about going to Finance). I feel that you are going to get in both Columbia J-term and Princeton Mfin. What are you going to pick then? :?

adc_away:
So you are going to apply to the early-rounds of two schools (Tuck and Columbia)? Interesting !

Mate .. dont say things like that :) I might jump out of the roof in ecstasy. Princeton have already told me that my GMAT score is on the 'lower end' of acceptable, so my application is more of 'try and hope'.

It is the J-Term that I am really focusing on.
If I get the J-Term (who normally decide in 8 weeks) I will cancel all other applications. Princeton dont decide till January. I could be in NY by January with the J-Term.

Yup. :)

Columbia because it offers an ED round, and I understand that that's the best opportunity if you're prepared to go to Columbia and it's a first choice. Tuck EA because i'm a reapplicant, and apparently, it's ideal for reapplicants to apply to EA.

But of course, if I get both Columbia and Tuck, I will go to Columbia as per of my ED agreement.

I'm applying to NUS too, but later in the year. And possibly MBS too.

Might just see you there! :)

I got a question for you multi-round applicants

What are you guys doing with references? For me, here's my tentative R1:

UCLA, Kellogg, MIT, Schulich

So in total I need 8 reference letters. And I'm planning to have my direct supervisor be a reference on all 4 schools already, with 2 other references splitting the other 4, thereby having 8.

Now if you're applying to even more schools in R2, are you going to have to bother your supervisors again?? I think asking her for 4 reference letters is already a big hassle..... and we all know that all schools want a reference from your direct supervisor. What to do?
