Why school don't respond [#permalink]

I was told by the guy who interviewed me that the notification would come after 3 -4 weeks. But after 6 weeks already, they still not give out any information. I emailed the school asking for when we can receive the decision, but never receive any response. Come on, no matter what your decision is should you let us know.
I'm wondering if anyone knows why they don't give the decisions after the time they claimed, or responding to the email.

the optimist says that they're just behind in sending out notifications. the pessimist says that you're either on WL or got dinged. the realist says go take a breather to get your mind off of it because as soon as you relax, the answer will come when you least expect it.

You might get more concrete answers if you post in the school specific threads. McCombs applicants for example, will have a better idea about McCombs. Here, we have no idea where you applied.
FYI, if the interviewer was an alum, he has no idea when the response will come.

FYI, if the interviewer was an alum, he has no idea when the response will come. The school is not list on one of the school, it is a California school with not high rank. The interviewer is adcom. There is no problem regarding whatever the decision is, but at least give out a decision. There is no decision date listed on its website. So basically no way of knowing when we should expect the final decision, but at least can you respond to email.
