Will AdCom get in touch with my employer? [#permalink]

Hi,
One of my recommenders asked me a question, which I could not answer to his full satisfaction:
He and I work at the same company, however, no one else in the company knows from my application for B-Schools. So my recommender is concerned that AdCom will get in touch with my employer in order to find out that my referee is who he claims to be. He is concerned that him helping me in my 'secret mission' will make him look bad.
I told him, that I could not imagine that AdCom would do that. However, I am not 100% sure and so I thought I'd ask to get reassured.
What is your experience about this?

Marc No. The adcom will not reach out to your employer about your application. They know that applying to business school can be a sensitive topic and they would not do anything to put you in jeopardy. What they might do (but it's VERY rare) is reach out to your recommender, himself, if they have any questions in regard to his recommendation. I must stress that this is VERY rare and would only happen if the recommendation raised some sort of serious red flag.
