First, the areas you say that you want to learn are extensive, and encompass much more than those two specific courses, so that shouldn’t be a problem. However, do be specific and detailed in what you want to learn at each school and why – link it closely to
your goals, and explain how MBA program X or Y specifically will meet those needs.
Those courses may be similar to a course or two, but it’s just two courses. Presumably, you will mention other learning needs that align with the specific offerings of the given programs.
Don’t forget, many people attending b-school have had undergrad degrees in business, and obviously there’s some overlap of course content in those cases. Yet with a strong and appropriate “why MBA” discussion, you can convince the adcom
why you need the MBA.
