I am an engineering graduate, but a management professional working for an Indian IT start-up and want to pursue an MBA because i don't have any formal education in management.
I've been working in the HRD and my forte lies in assisting the managemnet in hiring the right fit for various requirements. i also dabble in a lot of other Hr functions that include, appraisal, administration and organizing events.
Been working since three years and i feel that a lack of thoeritical knowledge of how things work in business is hurting my career. So, my motive behind taking up MBA would be to get a feel of the business know-how and to increase my chances of finding myself the right job. An international MBA program is ideally what i would want at this point in time.
Coming to my Gmat score, I managed to score a 560(V-20, 48)[A.W.A-5.0], this being my second attempt at the Gmat. I am neither too gung-ho about getting a great score nor am I targeting great schools for that matter. What i am looking at is a reasonably good school which can provide a good base in HR.
Having said this, my targets schools would be ones which are not too demanding on the score front.
Ideally, i'd want to apply for the 2007 program.
Would really appreciate your opinion on my profile and if you could suggest schools that would be a big help.
